Here's the program for these days, designed to immerse yourself in the history, nature, and culture of this fascinating region.
Day 1 – Verucchio and Surroundings
Departure from Piazza Malatesta, passing through the charming village and cycling through olive groves and the countryside to Villa Verucchio, where you'll visit the Convent of Santa Croce and the cloister of San Francesco.
The tour will continue along the Marecchia cycle path to Santarcangelo di Romagna, with a visit to the Stamperia Marchi, a typical lunch, and the discovery of the "Underground City."
The afternoon continues with a stop at a hilltop winery, where you'll enjoy wine and local platters, surrounded by the Poets' Hill.
The tour will conclude with a visit to the Sapignoli Mill Museum in Poggio Torriana and a bike ride back to Verucchio.
Day 2 – Nature and History
After departing from Verucchio, you'll visit the protected WWF Oasis, followed by a technical and fun tour at Bike Valley in Pietracuta.
In the afternoon, visit to Montebello Castle and lunch with a panoramic view.
The tour will continue with a stop at the Valmarecchia Naturalistic Observatory, nestled within the Wildlife Protection Oasis.
After crossing the Marecchia river, you'll reach San Leo to visit its majestic Renaissance Fortress, the Parish Church (Pieve), the Cathedral, and other historic buildings.
The day will conclude with a stop in Verucchio for an aperitif or a panoramic dinner.
Day 3 – San Marino and Culture
Departure from Verucchio or Gualdicciolo (Republic of San Marino) for an in-depth visit to San Marino, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The itinerary includes a visit to the Public Palace, the Towers of San Marino, and the Quarry of the Crossbowmen (Cava dei Balestrieri), with various options for exploring museums and art galleries.
There will be no shortage of moments of relaxation and breathtaking views.
